I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families.
I sure did.
I am so honored to be a part of The Creative Patch.
A wonderful community of very creative women.
Today is Black Friday.
For many of you it is a day of shopping.
For me it is a day of decorating for the Christmas season.
I love everything about this upcoming holiday.
Even getting the mail.
I love Christmas cards - sending them and receiving them.
For the past few years I have saved all of the cards received and assembled them in a mini album.
A great way to save your holiday greetings in one place.
I always love to look back at them each year, read the sentiments and view any photos sent.
All you need to make this mini album - metal rings, cards, hole punch, ribbon and other holiday embellishments and a cover page.
I use one card as a template and line up the other cards with it and punch the holes.
Then I just assemble them all in the rings and tie on some festive ribbon.
I used a Christmas overlay for the front of this album and added a few embellishments.
In other years I have covered cardboard with holiday paper.
Whatever you have around your creative space.
I also try to include the Christmas card that our family sent out at the beginning of each years album.
It's so fun to see how much the kids have grown each year.
I am hoping to get my kids outside together this weekend for a photo.
Have a wonderful day ladies.
Thanks for stopping by The Creative Patch!
What an awesome idea & a FUN way to revisit Christmases past! You know, Traci, if you ladies keep showing us these cool creations, I'm NEVER going to get them all done! LOL! (But DON'T stop! I LOVE 'em!)
ReplyDeleteOh Traci, I love it!! Such a super idea; I will definitely be making a few{now I know what to do with all those cards I saved}this year. But first, I need to get back to decorating(I avoid the stores today;)!

ReplyDeleteGreat, Great, GREAT idea! Now I can get rid of all of my rubberbanded stacks of cards that I never knew for sure what to do with. So excited and I can easily do years past in a jiffy.
ReplyDeleteCan I borrow some of your pictures? I never get any Christmas cards with tractors in them. :)
